IT technician · Microsoft 365 · Homelab · Vibe coding with Claude

By day I keep Microsoft 365 environments and Windows clients running. The rest of the time I run a small Proxmox homelab, automate my flat with Home Assistant and build tools and gadgets that occasionally do something useful. I’m not a programmer: the code is written by Claude. The idea, the decisions and the testing are mine.

The Actions Ring from Logi Options+ as a small standalone Windows app – with battery level, DPI, button assignments and per-app profiles. No driver, no telemetry, no network access.

A small touch display on the desk that shows my Claude usage and the state of every running Claude Code session at a glance – over USB, without Wi-Fi and without a token on the device.

A local, encrypted activity history for Windows – the idea of Windows Recall, but on my terms. Screenshots, OCR, a timeline and an MCP server, so Claude can answer "what was I working on last Wednesday at noon?"

How my projects come about

  1. The idea – me

Usually a problem from my own everyday life: a tool that is too bloated, information I keep looking up, something that simply doesn’t exist yet.

  2. The code – Claude

I describe what it should do, Claude Code writes the code. I don’t write it myself – and I don’t pretend to.

  3. Testing & decisions – me

I run it on my own hardware, report what breaks and decide what stays. This website was made the same way.
